 SCOTTISH TABLET

Here’s a recipe for those of you with a serious sweet tooth.
Made from butter, condensed milk, and sugar, this is another easy
 to make traditional Scottish dessert.
True, it may not be the
healthiest option ever but it tastes sublime.

INGREDIANTS

 200g of unsalted butter
 75g of sweetened condensed milk
1lb of caster sugar
100ml of water

Add the butter to a large pan of hot water, before it starts
boiling add the sugar and stir thoroughly. Bring the water to
the boil then add the condensed milk, keep stirring until the
mixture turns to its deep caramel color.
Simmer for 25 minutes
or until its thick and sticky, then pour the tablet into a
shallow side tray (1cm) let it cool for 30 minutes and bingo!!
You’re Scottish tablet is ready to be enjoyed.

Please do not hold me responsible if you become addicted
to these fine Scottish desserts, blame my granny as it was from
her secret cook book that I acquired these recipes.
